We are pleased to announce that we have agreed terms and have a signed agreement with Scientific Games (SG) and The Pennsylvania Lottery to roll-out both in-lane draw based games as well as providing an instant tickets solution through the SCiQ Instant Ticket dispenser launching with the National retailer Giant Eagle.

Pennsylvania (PA) is one of the most successful lotteries in the world with annual sales exceeding $5 Billion. They are also one of the more progressive lotteries in the USA and many of the other State lotteries like to wait and see what PA does next and then they quickly follow. Their Director/CEO Drew Svitko is one of the most respected in the industry.

The Program will launch this year with one of the biggest chains in the state – Giant Eagle - who have more than 200 Grocery and Convenience store outlets in PA. Giant Eagle partner with Toshiba for their IT infrastructure, so we will be using our jointly developed lottery application for the first time in market. The launch program will start with the SCiQ Instant Tickets quickly followed next year by Powerball and MegaMillions national draw-based games (which in the past has reached a jackpot of more than $1.4 Billion and more recently m$700 million) as well as their state games. We already have other retailers, see list below.

Their lottery director recently told us on a call ‘be prepared as once we are in we are in… we are all in’.

The solution has been tested over recent weeks in the Toshiba lab and will be rolled into the Giant Eagle Lab within the next few days where final testing will commence before going into the stores. Toshiba, SG and Abacus have conducted all the site visits of the pilot stores so it’s a matter of days before the full program gets started. We are advised that after the initial pilot which they believe will last between two and three months they will look to roll out across all their stores. We do not expect any revenues this year, until they start the full roll out in 2022.

The image illustrates what the SCiQ Instant ticket program will look like once in store. The marketing screen will display the instant tickets that are available and once selected are dispensed automatically from the small dispenser by the attendant. The tickets are then handed to the customer fully activated and ready to play once the payment is completed. They plan to have a dispenser in every active lane in store, with the draw games that will be added later next spring making it a full lottery service at every till.
